2024 - 2025 Executive Board Nominations

Elections for CSU's Executive Board (University Team) will be held in April, 2025.

In order to run for a position, you must be nominated (see the link above). Because these positions are officially tied to the university, you must be a current USF student to run or vote. You must also be a registered member of the Catholic Student Union.

Please prayerfully discern whether you, or another person in the community, will be a good fit for a University Team position.

Mission:

As elected officers for the Catholic Student Union we strive to live, uphold, and contribute to the vision and mission of the Catholic Student Center in an exemplary way. We will strive to care for, support, and represent the students of CSU to the best of our abilities, especially at the Leadership Team Meetings. We will strive to make and maintain good relations with USF; fulfilling all duties associated with our office as representatives of CSU to USF. As representatives of CSU, we will take a particular focus for assisting in development efforts, such as in Parish Appeals.

Reports to:
Managing Director (Br. Ray Morris)

President

• Act as primary student liaison to the University. Attend Student Organization meetings when necessary.
• Represent the students at the Pastoral Council Meeting.
• Preside over Executive Board Meetings.
• Co-lead the Leadership Team Meeting in concert with the Managing Director.
• Spearhead the discernment process for the annual theme & patron
• Automatic member of the Catholic Bull’s Night Team
• Ensure there are student announcements at Sunday Mass
• Foster unity at CSU and speak up when I see someone damaging that unity.

Vice President

• Assist the President with his/her duties and serve in the President’s absence.
• Attend Student Organization meetings with the President when possible. 
• Oversee space reservations on campus; attend event review meetings.
• Assist the Treasurer with making budget requests and creating the budget. Ensure he or she is aware of any budget requests that need to be created
• Attend Financial Officer training with the Treasurer

Secretary

• Keep organized minutes of all leadership meetings.
• Manage CSU’s BullsConnect account, keeping it up to date with our events and activities and ensuring students check-in at each event.
• Manage CSU’s Flocknote: add new members, create and send each week.
• Create Announcement Slides for Catholic Bull’s Night
• Keep an organized Google Drive that allows all officers and leaders access to materials such as meeting minutes, agendas, event planning, etc.

Treasurer

• Create and submit the organization’s annual budget to the Student Government for A&S allocation, in consultation with the CSC.
• Receive, dispatch, and keep accurate records of all financial matters regarding the organization.
• Collect and handle cash on occasion, keeping a record of who gave the money and how much money was given. Cash will then be given to the Business Manager of the CSC for deposit.
• Attend Financial Training with the University to be able to have access to A&S funding.
• Attend to any matters pertaining to the budget with the University
• Point of contact for Student Leadership involvement in fundraising/development events.

 Applying for a position doesn't commit you to anything! It's a great way to find out more and see what you might be interested in.

 Position/team responsibilities are given in the application. The deadline to apply is Monday, March 18th.

 A few basic requirements for student leadership include:

• You must be enrolled as an undergrad in college for both Fall and Spring Semesters of the upcoming school year
• You must be registered with Catholic Student Center.
• You must have been a part of the Catholic Student Union community for at least two semesters.
